    This place is SOOOOO good!

Has a small take out and seated side and a larger connecting side for seating. Only a few tables for groups over 4 but we were lucky to be seated right away!

    I ordered:
-chicken sandwich on a bun: 15/10 came out hot and the bun was so soft and yummy
-green beans: had such good seasoning and were cooked great 15/10
-mac n cheese: creamy and hot and so good 15/10
-had a bite of the chicken tacos too were SO good!!!

Our server was incredibly kind and helpful!

My mouth is watering typing this and I will definitely be back!

Roost is one of my most frequent stops when visiting Chicago after moving away a few years ago. One of my favorite chicken biscuits, anywhere!

I always get some version of the chicken/biscuit sandwich, most often the Rheney with bacon, cheddar, and spicy chicken. Since my last time in, it seems that they've changed the biscuits a bit and they hold together better and are as good as they've ever been. This makes it much easier to eat as a sandwich, which is appreciated. The chicken seemed like maybe the batter has been updated as well. It's a light but very flavorful fried coating. I had to add the pickles and ranch because those are both too delicious to pass up!

Since they've expanded it's never been a problem to find a seat, and I love the table service and full bar option. The ever changing quotes on the wall are always a favorite. My dad makes sure to send pictures every time he stops in. Service is always prompt and friendly.

Came here with my girlfriend for lunch and we ordered 6 random chicken with Mac & Cheese. The chicken was very crispy and perfectly breaded. Not much fat either. Mac & Cheese was okay. Street parking available!

So I've been comparing the Roost to the Budlong lately. I am bumping the Roost up quite a bit and giving them the edge! I love their fried chicken! It's juicy, crispy, and spicy. Their chicken biscuits for brunch, hillbilly tacos, and fried chicken sandwiches are awesome! I also love their Mac N Cheese.

My food has always arrived on time and their service at the restaurant is adequate. Plus they serve alcohol. My two cons about the Roost is their home fries for brunch are very meh and I wish their chicken was spicier. I've had Hattie B's and Prince's in Nashville and their spice doesn't even compare to their top levels.
